Massage Glasgow FAQ

  • What types of massage do you offer?

We offer sports massage, deep tissue massage, pregnancy massage, lymphatic drainage massage, Indian head massage, natural face lift massage, and Brazilian wood therapy. We do not currently offer Thai massage or hot stone massage.

  • What kind of massage do I need?

The right massage depends on your specific goals. The best massages for pain relief from muscle tension are sports massage and deep tissue; for relaxing massages that help with sleep or stress, Indian head massage tends to work well. Our team will be happy to guide you when you book if you’re unsure.

  • What should I expect at my first massage appointment?

Your therapist will take a brief health history at the start and adapt the treatment to suit you, including the technique and pressure used. You’ll have privacy to undress to your level of comfort and will be covered throughout, and if anything doesn’t feel right during the session, tell your therapist and they’ll adjust straight away.

  • Are there any health conditions that would make massage unsuitable?

Some conditions do require us to modify or avoid certain techniques, including recent surgery, active skin conditions, blood clotting disorders, and some cardiovascular conditions. Let us know about any relevant health history when you book and we’ll advise on which treatments are appropriate.

  • How often should I have a massage?

For recovery from training, weekly or fortnightly sessions tend to work well; for managing chronic tension or a long-term condition, monthly appointments are usually enough. If you’re booking a one-off for self-care or to soothe a specific complaint, your therapist will suggest a follow-up schedule based on how your body responds.
